Forest School
Our forest school is situated in the community rest garden which is based on outdoor learning and engagement with the natural environment.
Forest school is a child-centred inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions.
It is supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting.
Using the wooded area, our children learn to challenge their own learning in a variety of contexts this may be: physically, emotionally, socially, spiritually or intellectually as well as developing the five Rs of being respectful, resilient, resourceful, responsible and a risk-taker.
